2022 Porsche 911 MSRP and Model Updates: What You Need to Know

Porsche has announced exciting updates for the 2022 911 model lineup, focusing on enhanced comfort, advanced communication systems, and the thrilling introduction of the new 911 GT3. Leading the charge for the 2022 model year is the highly anticipated 911 GT3, the most agile and driver-focused iteration of the ‘992’ generation to date. Enthusiasts can now configure and order their 2022 Porsche 911 GT3, with a starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $161,100, excluding a $1,350 delivery, processing, and handling fee. This new GT3 is expected to arrive at U.S. dealerships in Fall 2021 as part of the 2022 model year rollout.

All 2022 Porsche 911 models will benefit from significant upgrades to their connected services thanks to the adoption of the latest generation Porsche Communication Management (PCM). This updated PCM system, accessed through a sleek 10.9-inch touchscreen display, integrates navigation, entertainment, comfort, and communication functions into a user-friendly interface. Inspired by the Porsche Taycan’s operating concept, the new PCM offers a customizable and intuitive layout.

A key enhancement is the extended trial period for Porsche Connect services, now lasting three years, a significant increase from the previous one-year trial. After the initial trial, these services will be subscription-based. Porsche Connect provides a suite of convenient and valuable features, including Voice Pilot with natural language understanding activated by saying “Hey Porsche,” Navigation Plus with real-time traffic updates and online map updates, Calendar integration, and Radio Plus. Wireless and wired Apple CarPlay remain standard and are included in the extended trial period. Android Auto™ is newly available for the first time in a new Porsche vehicle, expanding smartphone integration options. Furthermore, SiriusXM® with 360L is now included as standard with a 3-month trial subscription, offering a wider array of entertainment channels. Continuing the trend from the Taycan, the new PCM directly integrates Apple Music® and Apple Podcasts®, accessible with a separate Apple subscription.

For enhanced convenience in urban environments, 911 Carrera, Targa, and Turbo models equipped with Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission can now be optionally fitted with Remote ParkAssist. This innovative feature allows drivers to remotely maneuver their vehicle into and out of parking spaces using a smartphone app while standing outside the car. This option is bundled with Active Parking Support, accessible within the vehicle through the new PCM, and includes a new 3D Surround View system and Rear Cross Traffic Alert with Lane Change Assist, further enhancing safety and driver assistance.

In summary, the 2022 Porsche 911 lineup brings a host of improvements, most notably the arrival of the 911 GT3 with its competitive MSRP, and significant advancements in connectivity and driver assistance features across the range, promising an even more refined and technologically advanced driving experience. The new Porsche 911 GT3 is anticipated to reach U.S. dealerships in Fall 2021 as part of the 2022 model year.
