Countach 110 Skis: The Quintessential Playful-Charger for All Mountain Domination

Last year, the Countach 110 skis emerged as the most coveted and talked-about model in our lineup, and for good reason. They’ve carved out a unique and desirable niche, perfectly bridging the gap between the hard-charging prowess of the Wildcat series and the freestyle agility of the Commander collection. The Countach 110 delivers that “Goldilocks” blend of playful energy and confident stability that skiers crave.

Defining the Countach 110 is best achieved by understanding what it isn’t. It’s not a purely aggressive, big-mountain ski demanding to be driven at maximum speed through crud and ice. Nor is it solely a freestyle-focused ski built for park and pipe tricks. Instead, the Countach 110 occupies that sweet spot in between, offering a remarkably versatile experience. While constructed without metal layers, don’t mistake that for a lack of backbone. These skis possess ample “brass,” allowing them to confidently charge down steep slopes, cruise effortlessly across varied terrain, and unleash freestyle maneuvers at a moment’s notice. They remain forgiving and enjoyable even when your legs are burning and fatigue sets in, proving their adaptability across a full day of skiing.

From professional big-mountain athletes pushing their limits to everyday skiers simply seeking fun and accessible performance, the Countach 110 resonates with a wide spectrum of abilities and styles. The consistent feedback we receive is that anyone who tries the Countach 110 instantly recognizes its place in their ski quiver. Often, skiers find themselves relegating other skis to the sidelines, as the Countach 110 becomes their go-to choice for daily adventures. After another season of daily skiing on the Countach ourselves, many of our team members are evaluating which of their other skis to sell, donate, or relegate to dusty garage storage – a true testament to the Countach 110’s appeal.

The construction of the Countach 110 leverages the same European beech and poplar wood core found in our more directionally oriented skis. However, crucially, it forgoes metal laminates. This deliberate choice enhances the ski’s pop, responsiveness, and overall energetic feel, while improving compliance in varied snow conditions. The Countach 110 features a generous shovel width and a pronounced tip rocker profile, facilitating floatation and turn initiation. It’s finished with a low but supportive tail, raised slightly to balance stability with release and playful maneuverability. This design results in a ski that is burly enough to handle demanding terrain and conditions, yet surprisingly forgiving and approachable – as capable as it is easy to manage.

At 110mm underfoot, the Countach 110 provides substantial floatation for tackling most powder days, stopping just short of the deepest, most extreme conditions where wider skis might be preferred. Remarkably, it also delivers surprising performance on hardpack snow. It punches above its weight in firmer conditions, readily outperforming narrower skis when the snow is less than ideal. However, the true brilliance of the Countach 110 emerges in variable snow and choppy conditions. It provides exceptional support and stability through chop, yet retains a surfy and playful character. It remains surprisingly easy to pivot and slash through tight trees and navigate deep snow stashes. Directional and playful – a truly compelling combination in an all-mountain ski.
